About the rule

What it is

The National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) is the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s system for tracking health care-associated infections and other patient and health care worker safety data. Many hospitals and other facilities report certain measures through it to meet CMS quality reporting requirements, and some states also require NHSN reporting.
