In an academic medical center the same physician may see patients in the morning, review study data in the afternoon and supervise residents at night. Each role touches a different set of records under a different rule: the chart under HIPAA, study data under the Common Rule and the IRB, trial records under FDA 21 CFR Part 11, resident hours under ACGME requirements and student records under FERPA. Federally funded research can also carry NIST SP 800-171 security requirements.
Moraph Academic Solutions helps keep those records apart where the rules require it, and lets them meet where an approval allows it. A mix-up has specific costs: identifiable data in a research dataset without IRB approval, research procedures billed to Medicare, or a program that cannot show its duty-hour records at a site visit.
Products for research, teaching and oncology
Clinical Trial Patient Recruitment App: pre-screening, eConsent with the IRB-approved version, reminders and participant-reported symptoms, connected to your CTMS, EDC and eTMF. It does not decide eligibility or whether a report is an adverse event, and Part 11 validation for your use is your decision, with our supporting documentation.
Grant & Site Payment Manager: matches completed study visits to the contract, prepares sponsor invoices and site payment requests, and reconciles payments. It can record which items are billed to the sponsor, but it does not perform Medicare coverage analysis, and payments move through your own accounts payable.
Residency Program Manager: records work hours and procedure logs and checks them against ACGME requirements. It is not an ACGME system: your coordinators still enter or reconcile data in ACGME's Accreditation Data System and Case Log System.
Tumor Board Collaboration Platform: brings pathology, imaging, notes and molecular results into one case view for the multidisciplinary conference and returns the recommendation to the chart. It does not make treatment decisions, and images stay in your PACS.

Research Hospitals & Clinical Trials
We integrate the CTMS with the EHR so research procedures can be flagged for billing to the study, and keep signed consent available to both the research team and the treating physician. For data requests we can act as an honest broker: we confirm IRB approval before releasing clinical data and de-identify records drawn from Epic (Cosmos/Caboodle), Cerner research modules or your clinical data warehouse.
Medical Schools & Education
We manage the audiovisual and IT systems in simulation labs, protect exam platforms whose results fall under FERPA, and provide virtual desktops so students can view charts for teaching without connecting personal laptops to the hospital network.
Independent Research Institutes
We run tiered storage for large datasets such as Cryo-EM and genomics, managed AWS or Azure clusters for burst compute, data loss prevention that flags bulk downloads, and InCommon federation so scientists sign in to outside research resources with institute credentials. Box, Dropbox or Microsoft Teams can be configured for multi-center studies so files are shared with partner universities while uploads of unencrypted PHI are blocked.
Support when deadlines fall
When central IT is slow, researchers buy their own servers or use unapproved cloud tools, and security gaps follow. Our service desk treats a failed compute job the night before a grant submission as urgent, and we add support during NIH submission windows, when campus-wide uploads load the systems. We map your research environment to NIST SP 800-171 so your security office can answer funders' questions; whether the controls are adequate is your institution's decision.
Our Trust Center provides our SOC 2 Type II report, ISO/IEC 27001 certificate and control mappings under NDA for your security and research reviewers.
