A hospital has to answer two questions at all times: who can open which patient's chart, and what is plugged into the network. Moraph Hospital Solutions runs the systems that answer them for regional health systems and hospitals: clinician sign-in, access rights, network access control and the inventory of connected medical devices.
Both questions have a cost on each side. If a control blocks a clinician from a chart, that control is itself a patient safety risk, and a slow login leads to passwords taped to monitors. If an infusion pump or an unknown laptop sits on an open network, ransomware can reach the systems that keep the emergency department open. When a hospital network goes down, ambulances are diverted and surgeries are cancelled.
Who can reach the chart
Single Sign-On (Imprivata): clinicians tap a badge to sign in to shared workstations and the EHR, and sessions can follow them through Citrix or Omnissa Horizon. Where Imprivata Confirm ID is licensed, it supports two-factor signing for e-prescribing of controlled substances. Some applications cannot be profiled for badge sign-on or need rework after each upgrade; we test profiles before upgrades.
Identity Governance (SailPoint): access follows the HR record, so a nurse's EHR security classes change when they transfer and end when they leave. SailPoint assigns those classes. Which patients a user can see on a ward is still enforced by the EHR's own security settings, and the role model is only as accurate as your HR job codes.
Credentialing & Privileging Portal: primary-source checks, committee files and ongoing license and exclusion monitoring, so a physician's privileges are approved before they are scheduled or bill. Approved privileges go to the team that sets up EHR access.
What is on the network
Network Access Control (Cisco ISE): every device on a wired port or wireless network is identified and given only the access its role allows. A device plugged into a wall jack without going through clinical engineering goes to a restricted network until someone decides what it is. We introduce enforcement in stages so care is not interrupted. Older switches may need upgrading, which is your decision and cost.
Medical Device Cybersecurity Hub: one inventory of connected medical devices, built from your clinical engineering records and network discovery tools, matched to published vulnerabilities and manufacturer advisories. It does not scan or patch devices. Clinical engineering or the manufacturer applies validated patches, and the Hub records the decision and any compensating control.
Network segmentation that separates monitors and pumps from guest Wi-Fi and administrative networks is part of the network design. We prepare the evidence for review by The Joint Commission, OCR and HIPAA auditors; meeting their standards remains your organization's responsibility.

After go-live
We maintain sign-on profiles as applications change, run access reviews with your managers and triage what the network access and device tools raise. Our service desk ranks hospital tickets by clinical effect: a printer outage in the NICU is treated as a patient identification risk. We also manage the FHIR and HL7 interfaces that connect these systems to the EHR. Decisions to restrict a device in a clinical area, accept a risk or grant an exception stay with the people you name.
