About the rule
What it is
The UK Financial Conduct Authority’s recording rules, in chapter 10A of the Senior Management Arrangements, Systems and Controls sourcebook (SYSC 10A) of its Handbook, require firms to record and keep telephone conversations and electronic communications relating to certain investment activities. The FCA, which regulates financial services firms in the United Kingdom, makes and enforces these rules.
