ATM & Cash Logistics Optimizer

The ATM & Cash Logistics Optimizer forecasts cash demand for each ATM, branch vault and teller cash recycler from its own history, calendar and local events. It recommends replenishment orders that weigh the cost of idle cash against delivery costs and the risk of running out, within your holding limits and carrier schedules. Your cash operations team reviews and approves every order, and deliveries and discrepancies are tracked through to reconciliation.

Principal workflows

  • Forecast: Each ATM, vault and recycler gets its own demand forecast from its withdrawal and deposit history, the day of the week, paydays, holidays and any local events your branches record.
  • Plan: The Optimizer recommends when to replenish each location and how much to order, balancing the cost of holding idle cash, the carrier's charges and the risk of running out, within your limits.
  • Order and deliver: Cash operations approves the plan, and orders are exported in the format your carrier or cash provider accepts. Each delivery is tracked from order to confirmation.
  • Reconcile and review: Ordered, delivered and counted amounts are compared, carrier charges are checked against completed services, and forecast accuracy and idle cash are reviewed over time.

Features

  • Location-level forecasting: Demand forecasts for each ATM, branch vault and teller cash recycler, based on that location's own history and calendar.
  • Calendar and event effects: Holidays, paydays, benefit payment dates and local events your branches record are reflected in the forecast.
  • Order recommendations: Suggested order dates and amounts that weigh the cost of idle cash, carrier charges and the risk of running out, with the trade-off shown.
  • Denomination mix: Cassette and vault orders recommended by denomination, based on how each location's cash is actually used.
  • Holding limits: Insurance, policy and physical capacity limits set for each location, and recommendations that stay within them.
  • Carrier schedules: Delivery days, cut-off times, route constraints and service charges for each carrier, used when planning orders.
  • Order approval: Plans reviewed by cash operations, with orders above your thresholds approved by a second person before they are sent.
  • Delivery and discrepancy tracking: Ordered, delivered and counted amounts compared, with discrepancies opened as cases and followed through to resolution.
  • Carrier charge checking: Carrier invoices compared with the services recorded, so charges for missed or unscheduled visits are visible.
  • Cash position view: Balances, forecast run-out dates and next scheduled deliveries for every location on one screen.
  • Contingency planning: Plan for holidays, severe weather or a carrier disruption by testing alternative order plans before the event.
  • Forecast accuracy tracking: Forecasts compared with actual demand by location and denomination, so you can see where parameters need attention.

  • With a managed service: Optionally run alongside a Moraph managed service for parameter tuning support and platform administration.

Security and privacy

  • Single sign-on: Staff sign in through your identity provider, so your password and multi-factor policies apply.
  • Role-based access: What each person can see and do follows their role and region; preparing an order is separate from approving it.
  • Restricted schedule information: Delivery dates and times are visible only to the roles that need them, supporting your physical security program.
  • Encryption and keys: Client data is encrypted, with keys Moraph staff cannot use without explicit, time-bound authorization.
  • Complete audit trail: Every forecast change, order, approval, export and discrepancy decision is logged with the person and time, and cannot be edited.
  • Data residency: Data stays in the hosting region you choose: the United States, the United Kingdom or Australia.

Limitations

  • Moraph does not hold, move, store or insure cash. Orders are fulfilled by your carriers, cash providers and Federal Reserve Bank or correspondent under your own agreements.
  • The Optimizer recommends orders; your staff approve them, and orders above your thresholds need a second approver.
  • Forecasts depend on the completeness and quality of the device and branch data you provide, and cannot anticipate events nobody records.
  • It does not monitor ATM hardware or dispatch technicians; it uses device status from your existing monitoring system.
  • It does not place orders with the Federal Reserve directly; it produces the quantities your team orders through the channel you already use.
  • It does not settle or reconcile ATM network transactions or handle cardholder disputes.
  • Holding limits, order thresholds and the cost-of-funds rate are your institution's decisions; the Optimizer records and applies them.
  • Physical security procedures for cash handling remain your institution's responsibility under its security program.
