Foreign Language Translation AI for Intel

Machine transcription and translation that puts the right material in front of your linguists first

Overview

What you are buying

Foreign Language Translation AI transcribes foreign-language audio and translates audio and text as it arrives, then flags keywords, names and tone that match the requirements your analysts set. Linguists review, correct and certify the translations that matter, and analysts work from material that is clearly marked as machine output or human-reviewed. Every transcript, translation, correction and decision keeps its source and history, so reporting can be traced back to the original material.

The problem it solves

Collected foreign-language material arrives faster than any linguist workforce can listen to or read it, and much of it is never looked at. Linguists spend time on low-value material while relevant items wait in a backlog, languages and dialects with few qualified linguists fall furthest behind, and keyword triage done by hand misses variant spellings and transliterations. When machine translation is used, it is often unclear afterwards which text a person checked and which went straight into a report.

  • Volume of foreign-language material exceeds linguist capacity
  • Relevant items wait in the same backlog as routine traffic
  • Names and terms are missed across spellings, scripts and transliterations
  • Machine and human translations are hard to tell apart once they reach a report

Workflows

The principal workflows

  1. Ingest and transcribe

Audio and text arrive from the sources you connect. Audio is transcribed in its original language, and language and dialect are identified so each item can be routed to the right model and the right linguists.

    • Material arrives from connected sources with its source metadata and handling markings
    • Language and, where possible, dialect identified
    • Audio transcribed in the original language, with speaker turns separated
    • Each segment given a confidence score
    • Items the models cannot handle well routed straight to a linguist queue
  2. Translate and flag

Transcripts and text are machine-translated, and checked against the keyword lists, names, places and topics your analysts maintain, including variant spellings and transliterations. Matches and notable tone are flagged with the passage that triggered them.

    • Machine translation produced and labeled as machine output
    • Keyword, name and topic lists checked in both the original and the translation
    • Spelling and transliteration variants matched
    • Tone and sentiment indicators noted on the passage, as a hint for review
    • Items scored against current priorities and placed in queues
  3. Linguist review

Linguists work prioritized queues, correcting transcripts and translations, adding notes on idiom, dialect and context, and certifying the translations that will be used in reporting.

    • Linguist opens the highest-priority item with audio, transcript and translation side by side
    • Corrections made in place, with the machine version kept
    • Notes added on meaning, idiom, dialect or uncertainty
    • Translation marked reviewed, gisted or certified
    • Items not relevant to requirements closed with a reason
  4. Analyze and report

Analysts search and read reviewed material, follow names and topics across items, and cite the exact source and review status of each passage they use, so a report never treats a machine translation as checked work.

    • Analyst searches across items by name, topic, language or source
    • Review status shown on every passage
    • Passages cited with a link to the source item and its translation history
    • Requests for linguist review sent from the item when needed
    • Analyst feedback on relevance returned to the priority settings

How access is controlled

  • Only linguists can change a translation's review status. Analysts, managers and model staff can read and cite material, but cannot mark machine output as reviewed.
  • Roles are configured with you during implementation and limited by language, mission and access attributes, so each person sees only the material their duties and authorities allow.
  • Every permission change is recorded in the audit trail with who made it and when, and access review reports list each person's roles for periodic certification.
  • Users sign in through your identity provider, including smart-card sign-in, and roles can follow its groups. Oversight and audit staff get access scoped to their review, with an end date where appropriate.

Features

What it does

Speech transcription

Foreign-language audio transcribed in the original language, with speaker turns, timestamps and a confidence score for each segment.

Language identification

Language and, where the models support it, dialect identified on arrival, so items go to the right model and the right linguists.

Machine translation, clearly labeled

Text and transcripts translated into English, with every machine translation labeled as such until a linguist reviews it.

Keyword and name watchlists

Lists of keywords, names, places and topics maintained by analysts and checked in both the original language and the translation.

Transliteration matching

Names and terms matched across scripts and common transliteration variants, so a name written several ways is still found.

Tone indicators

Passages with notable tone or sentiment marked as a hint for linguists and analysts, never as a finding on its own.

Priority queues

Items placed in linguist queues by watchlist matches, source priority, language and age, so relevant material is reviewed first.

Side-by-side review

Audio, original transcript and translation shown together, with corrections tracked and the machine version kept.

Review status on every passage

Each passage carries its status, machine, gisted, reviewed or certified, wherever it is shown, searched or exported.

Glossaries and terminology

Mission glossaries and preferred translations of recurring terms applied consistently and maintained by senior linguists.

Model evaluation

Linguist corrections used to measure machine accuracy by language and source, so you know where the models can be relied on and where they cannot.

Handling rules and audit trail

Handling markings and access rules carried with each item, and every view, correction, export and decision recorded with the person and time.

Security and privacy

How your data is protected

Runs inside your environment

Models and data stay inside your environment. Material is not sent to external translation services or used to train models outside it.

Access by role and attribute

What each person can see follows their role, mission and access attributes, and handling markings travel with each item.

AI proposes, people decide

Machine transcripts, translations and flags are labeled as such; only a linguist can mark a translation reviewed or certified.

Encryption and keys

Material is encrypted at rest and in transit, with keys Moraph staff cannot use without explicit, time-bound authorization.

Complete audit trail

Every view, search, correction, export and decision is logged with the person and time, and cannot be edited.

Your authority, cleared support

On classified networks the tool is installed and operated under your authority. Support tickets for defense and intelligence clients are handled only by US citizens with active clearances.

Company-wide controls, independent audits (SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001) and data residency are described in our Trust Center, where you can request the evidence pack.

Exports, access and evidence

  • Every report can be exported to CSV, and evaluation and oversight reports to PDF. Reports can be scheduled for the people entitled to see them, within your network's rules.
  • Each report can be filtered and the filters saved, so a mission manager or senior linguist can keep their own views.
  • Queue, review and evaluation data is available through the Moraph Work API inside your environment, for your own reporting tools.
  • Reports respect each viewer's role and access attributes: a linguist sees their own languages, a mission manager sees their missions, and oversight staff see the records their review requires.
  • Oversight and audit reports can be run as of a past date and give the same result each time. Running and exporting a report is itself recorded in the audit trail.

Deployment

Where and how it runs

Client-hosted on your networks

Installed in your environment, including classified networks, and operated under your authority and within your own authorization.

Disconnected deployments

A deployable configuration that runs without outside connectivity, for sites where material must be processed locally.

Security controls, independent audits and data residency are set out in our Trust Center. Engagement models and what drives a quotation are on Working with Moraph.

Implementation

What a rollout involves

The general phases are on Working with Moraph. For this product, they involve the following.

Mission and handling review

We review your sources, languages, priorities and the handling rules that apply, and agree how they will be enforced in queues, access and exports.

Environment and models

The tool and its models are installed in your environment, and any models you already hold are connected after your approval.

Language evaluation

Your linguists evaluate transcription and translation on sample material in each language before it is used operationally, and the results are recorded.

Watchlists and glossaries

Existing keyword lists, name lists and glossaries are loaded and reviewed with your senior linguists and analysts.

Workflow and roles

Queues, priority rules, review statuses and roles are configured to match how your linguists and analysts work.

Training and go-live

Linguists, analysts and oversight staff are trained on their own workflows, and languages go live one at a time as each evaluation is accepted.

Limitations

What it does not do

Worth knowing before you evaluate it.

  • Machine transcription and translation make mistakes, especially with poor audio, overlapping speakers, slang, code words and dialects. Translations used in reporting should be reviewed by a qualified linguist.
  • Quality varies by language. Languages and dialects with little training data are handled less well, and some may not be supported at all; each language is evaluated with your linguists before operational use.
  • Tone and sentiment indicators are hints for review, not assessments. They can misread irony, cultural context and formal speech.
  • It does not decide what is intelligence. Relevance, assessment and reporting belong to your linguists and analysts.
  • Processing speed depends on the computing capacity in your environment and the volume of material; it is not guaranteed to keep pace with every source.
  • It does not collect material. It processes what your authorized collection and ingest systems deliver to it.
  • Moraph does not claim accreditation or authorization of the tool for any classified environment. Use on classified networks requires your organization's own authorization.
  • Compliance with handling rules, including rules for information about US persons, remains your organization's responsibility. The tool enforces the rules you configure and records what happens.

Evaluation checklist

What to test in a demonstration or pilot

Questions worth putting to us, and to any other vendor you are considering.

  1. Have your linguists score transcription and translation on unclassified sample material in each language you need
  2. Check how names are matched across scripts and transliteration variants
  3. Work an item from queue to certified translation and confirm the machine version is kept
  4. Confirm that review status follows a passage into search results and exports
  5. Test that handling rules and access attributes limit what each role can see
  6. Measure processing throughput on your own hardware with a representative volume of material

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Does material leave our environment for translation?

No. The models run inside your environment, and material is not sent to outside translation services or used to train models outside it.

Can analysts use machine translations in reporting?

That is your organization's decision. The tool labels every passage with its review status wherever it appears, so reporting can follow whatever standard you set.

Which languages are supported?

It depends on the models deployed and the languages you need. Each language is evaluated with your linguists on sample material before operational use, and the results are recorded.

Is it accredited for classified networks?

Moraph does not claim accreditation for any classified environment. The tool is installed and operated under your authority, and Moraph provides control documentation to support your own authorization.

How is it priced?

As a subscription, usually measured by the languages and processing capacity deployed, with implementation charged separately. See Working with Moraph for what drives a quotation.

Is there an accessibility conformance report?

Ask for one through the procurement request form at /how-to-buy/request, naming the version you are evaluating.
