Employee resource groups

Communities run by our people, open to everyone and backed by the business. They are where colleagues find each other across eleven offices, and one of the ways we make sure the best people can do their best work here, whoever they are.

How our groups work

Built to change things, not just to meet

Our clients serve everyone: every patient, every member of a credit union, every resident of a county. We do that work better with teams that reflect them, and in a workplace where nobody has to hide part of who they are to get ahead.

Open to everyone

Every group welcomes anyone who wants to join, whether or not they share its identity. Allies are part of how change happens.

Led by colleagues, backed by leaders

Each group is run by colleagues and has an executive sponsor from our leadership team, who takes its priorities into the rooms where decisions are made.

Funded, and counted as real work

Groups have their own budget for events and programs, and leading one is recognized as part of your work, not something squeezed in after hours.

A voice in decisions

Groups are consulted on the policies, benefits and hiring practices that affect their members, and they tell us when we get something wrong.

Global and local

Our groups work across all eleven offices, with local chapters where there are enough members to meet in person.

Private by default

Joining a group is your choice and your business. Membership lists are not shared with managers or used in any decision about you.

The groups

Ten groups, open to every colleague

Women in Technology

Women and non-binary colleagues in every role, and their allies

For the women and non-binary people building, running and selling technology at Moraph, in a field where they are still too often the only one in the room.

  • Mentoring circles that pair early-career colleagues with senior engineers, operators and leaders across offices.
  • Technical talks and study groups, including preparation for cloud and security certifications.
  • A voice in how we hire: reviewing job descriptions for language that puts people off, and helping recruit interview panels that reflect who applies.
  • Return-to-work support for colleagues coming back from parental or caring leave.

Pride at Moraph

LGBTQIA+ colleagues and allies

A community for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and asexual colleagues, wherever they work, and for the allies who stand with them.

  • A confidential space to talk about being out (or not) at work, including when working with clients in more conservative settings.
  • Guidance for managers and teams on pronouns, transitioning at work and inclusive language.
  • Pride Month events across our offices, and partnerships with local LGBTQIA+ organizations.
  • Input on policies and benefits, so that they work for every kind of family.

Black Professionals Network

Black colleagues and allies

For Black colleagues across our offices, to build community, open doors and make sure talent is seen and sponsored.

  • Career sponsorship: connecting members with senior leaders who advocate for them when stretch roles and promotions are decided.
  • Outreach to historically Black colleges and universities and to student societies, so more Black students hear about our internships and graduate programs.
  • Black History Month programming in February in North America and in October in the United Kingdom.
  • Speaker series and fireside chats with Black leaders in technology, finance, healthcare and government.

Latino and Hispanic Network

Latino and Hispanic colleagues and allies

A home for colleagues with roots across Latin America and Spain, and for anyone who wants to learn from them.

  • Mentoring and professional development, in English and Spanish.
  • Hispanic Heritage Month events from mid-September to mid-October.
  • Partnerships with university chapters and professional associations to reach Latino and Hispanic students and professionals.
  • Insight for teams serving Spanish-speaking members, patients and residents.

Asian and Pacific Islander Network

Colleagues of Asian and Pacific Islander heritage, and allies

For colleagues of East, South and Southeast Asian and Pacific Islander heritage, spanning our offices from New York to Mumbai, Manila, Sydney and Auckland.

  • Leadership development aimed at the step from expert to manager, where representation often drops.
  • Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Lunar New Year, Diwali and other celebrations across offices.
  • Cross-office connections between colleagues in the Americas, Asia-Pacific and India.

Ability Network

Colleagues with disabilities, chronic conditions or who are neurodivergent, carers and allies

For colleagues with visible and invisible disabilities, long-term health conditions and neurodivergent minds, and for those who support them.

  • Advice on workplace adjustments, and a voice in how we make them simple to ask for.
  • Testing our own websites, products and hiring process for accessibility, alongside our accessibility work for clients.
  • Awareness sessions on neurodiversity, mental health and chronic illness for managers and teams.
  • Disability Pride Month in July and the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3 December.

Veterans and Military Families

Veterans, reservists, military spouses and partners, and allies

For those who have served, those who still serve as reservists, and their families, many of whom bring exactly the discipline our clients in government and defense rely on.

  • Help translating military experience into civilian roles, from the first application onward.
  • Support for reservists balancing duty and work, and for military spouses who move often.
  • Veterans Day and Remembrance Day observances, and volunteering with veterans’ organizations.

Indigenous Peoples Network

First Nations, Inuit, Métis, Native American, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Māori colleagues, and allies

For Indigenous colleagues across our offices in North America, Australia and New Zealand, and for colleagues who want to learn and act with them.

  • Community, and cultural safety at work.
  • Recognition of NAIDOC Week in Australia, Matariki in New Zealand, and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada.
  • Guidance for teams working with tribal governments and Indigenous communities and organizations.

Parents and Caregivers

Anyone raising children or caring for a family member

For parents, step-parents, foster and adoptive parents, and anyone caring for a partner, parent or relative.

  • Practical advice on leave, flexible working and coming back to work.
  • Peer support groups for new parents and for those caring for older or ill relatives.
  • A voice in scheduling decisions, including on-call rotations and meetings across time zones.

First Generation

The first in their family to go to university or into professional work

For colleagues who are the first in their family to go to university or into a professional career, who often had to learn the unwritten rules on their own.

  • Plain-language guides to things nobody explains: how promotions work, how to ask for a sponsor, how to negotiate (and why our posted pay ranges make that less necessary).
  • Mentoring for interns and graduates from first-generation backgrounds.
  • Outreach to schools, community colleges and programs that serve first-generation students.

Inclusive hiring

A fair process is where inclusion starts

Resource groups help people thrive once they are here. These practices help make sure the best people get here in the first place. They are built into our hiring system, not left to good intentions.

Pay you can see

Every listing shows its pay range, set near the top of the local market for the level, and every offer is within it. Where you land depends on your skills and experience, not on how hard you negotiate, which closes one of the most common pay gaps before it opens.

The same questions for everyone

Each role has a defined set of competencies. Every interviewer scores every candidate against them and writes their feedback before seeing anyone else’s.

People, not filters

A person reads every application. Nobody is rejected by an algorithm, and every applicant hears back.

Adjustments without the awkwardness

Ask for any adjustment, at any stage. Only the recruiting team sees the request, and it is never used to assess you.

Looking at our own numbers

Applicants can choose to tell us about their gender, ethnicity, disability, veteran status and sexual orientation. Only aggregate figures are reported, never individual answers, and we use them to see where in our process people drop out.

Talk to a group before you decide

Candidates can ask their recruiter to connect them with a member of any of our groups. It is a conversation, not an interview, and nothing said is shared with the hiring team.

We are an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law in the places we work.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to share a group’s identity to join it?

No. Every group is open to anyone who wants to learn and help, and allies are welcome in all of them.

Can I join more than one group?

Yes, as many as you like.

Will my manager know I have joined?

Only if you tell them. Membership is private and is never used in decisions about your work, pay or promotion.

Can interns and graduates join?

Yes, from their first day. Several groups run mentoring especially for interns and graduates.

What if there isn’t a group for me?

Start one. Any colleague can propose a new group with a few others who want to join it; our people team helps with a charter, a sponsor and a budget.

I’m a candidate. Can I talk to someone from a group?

Yes. Ask your recruiter, or email careers@moraph.com. The conversation is not part of your assessment.
