Model Risk & ML Governance Lead (SR 11-7)
About the role
Make our AI explainable to regulators. You will run Moraph's internal model risk framework, including the 30-day champion/challenger process every production financial model goes through, and the bias testing behind our fair-lending commitments.
What you'll do
- Operate the champion/challenger validation process for production credit and fraud models
- Design fairness and disparate-impact testing for models used in lending decisions (Reg B / ECOA)
- Produce model explainability reports (SHAP/LIME) that clients can give to examiners
- Set standards for model documentation, drift monitoring and retirement
- Align practices with the NIST AI RMF and the EU AI Act
What you'll bring
- 7+ years in model risk management, model validation or applied ML in financial services
- Deep familiarity with SR 11-7 and model validation practice
- Strong Python and statistical skills
- Able to communicate model limitations plainly to non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have
- Experience validating models for a bank or regulator
- Publications or talks on responsible AI
Compensation
$250,000 – $290,000 per year
Where you land in the range depends on your experience and skills, not on how well you negotiate.
